This Murphy Edition of Mein Kampf was the version that Adolf Hitler hated so much he bombed its publisher.  The story behind this version is like a Film.  James Murphy agreed to translate Hitler's Biography very innocently in order to make a living in pre-war Germany, but when it was ready, Hitler realised it wasn't complimentary.  So he confiscated Murphy's work and kicked Murphy out of the Country.  Murphy, however, sent his wife to Germany and got it back. It was published for the first time in England just before the war, and Hitler was so enraged, he bombed its publisher.  The print runs were suspended and so this is why the edition of this book is so special.  It is an original 1939 copy and was published before the bomb hit the publishers.  This copy is nearly 80 years old, so as you would expect it is a very battered book.  This book has never been loved, and you can see that in its appearance.  But the pages retain the original clarity of the print and its previous academic owners have annotated it in places with pencil.  If you want to buy this book, I will only accept an offer if you promise me, you will use this book for peaceful reasons.   This book contains the origins of the greatest horror of the last century, and the reason I am selling it is because, as a historian, I believe we cannot understand the past unless we study it.  And if we study the horrors of the past, we will be less likely to have to live through them again.  In these troubled times I really can't stress enough, that this book is to be read with only the best intentions.
