A good early British army officers leather pistol holster from the Sam Brown set. The holster is huge compared to the usual WW2 type so would have been for a large framed pistol such as the .455. the holster is undated but is around Boer War to WW1 vintage. The leather is excellent soft and supple, the top fold and closure strap fold both show ancient surface cracking but nothing at all deep, a good polish would not hurt. It measures 11 inches from tip to top along the back edge.
